He's made here at the Farmhouse, and no pattern has been used. Hank's coat is grey wool, and is stained from "miles of marching". He has black boots (painted) on his feet. His pants are navy blue with star stripes down the leg. Pants are stained as well. His hat is from his wool coat material and has a star button sewn on the front above the bill. Hank's face is hand stitched and made of homespun. His beard and moustache is made of brown lamb's wool. He carries a haversack across his shoulder, which has a tiny antique eagle button to close with. He also has a canteen, carried by a leather strap, which reads "1862 CSA". His belt is made of leather strips, and an old belt buckle appears to be fastening it at the waist. His wool coat sports antique gold military type buttons, each one different. I found these at market, and they stole my heart. Dressed in a tan and natural check homespun, she carries a bag/pouch made of an old coverlet. A bit of cheesecloth around her neck, two buttons for her eyes, and lambs wool for her hair.....completes her look.
